Centers of Excellence (CoE)

CoE provide expertise, tools and leadership for the selected high-potential technologies proven as relevant to Elia Group.

Once the value of a technology is demonstrated through a  ’deep tech analysis’ assessment and ready to accelerate and bring business value, a CoE is set up to scale and further develop the technology. 

Focusing on a certain technology, our CoEs bring together experts in the field into one dedicated team that is easily accessible for all business end-users.

Within Elia Group, an internal CoE typically has three main objectives: 

1. Consolidate and distribute technological expertise to relevant internal project and product teams
2. Provide related to the field technological stack and implementation tools to support employees from different departments in their daily work.
3. Take the lead in the orchestration of corporate processes when necessary to ensure streamlined quality delivery.
Our CoE for Artificial Intelligence, Extended Reality, Internet of Things, Robotics, Drones and Automation accelerate already explored and valuable technologies and expand capabilities in these areas.
